Are you wanting something a little different out of your family portraits? Do you love interior design and take pride in your home? Our family lifestyle sessions might be just what you’re looking for! Take a half-day off work and we will come into your home, provide professional hair and makeup, and then create beautiful posed portraits and capture wonderful candids of your most treasured loved ones. You’ll end up with images that are perfect for the wall, an image folio, or a gorgeous album.
Lauren and her family recently moved from Boston to New Braunfels. In addition to having a fantastic eye for design, she is the owner of Nesty4Baby, a business dedicated to providing beautifully created baby bundles! If you or a friend have a new addition to the family (or one on the way), make sure to check them out! The ‘Be the change you wish to see in the world’ swaddle is one of the beautiful products she sells!
Did you know that we now offer glam sessions in our studio? Stop telling yourself you just need to lose a few more pounds or do a few more weeks of squats… spend the morning with us drinking mimosas, listening to your favorite tunes, getting pampered with professional hair and makeup, and we will make you look and feel fabulous! You can even bring your bestie. A glam session may be just what you need to get back that sexy confidence you once had. Some women do it for their birthday, and some do it because hey, it’s a Monday and those brunch mimosas were kind of weak… Give us a call, you’ve earned it.
In addition to her beautiful glam shots, we also captured some headshots for Celina - she’s the owner of Webby Dance Company - San Antonio. If you have a little one that’s interested in dancing or gymnastics, definitely check it out!
Jessica & Kyle's celebrated with their family and friends in San Antonio, TX at the unique Eilan Hotel & Spa. The light is always phenomenal here, and it was a beautiful, cool day. The ceremony took place on the outdoor patio, with the reception held in the Incanto ballroom.

We had an absolute blast with Denise and Paul in NOLA. Great food, great wine, let's say a 'very vibrant nightlife'... and of course, we did some location scouting and found some wonderful spots for portraits. Our trip included a total of 4 nights in the romantic French Quarter, with full hair and makeup and portrait sessions on 2 of those days.
The elopement session began with a first look at the Crowne Plaza hotel where they were staying, and then we went out to City Park for their outdoor portraits.
Kathryn & Jacob’s intimate hill-country wedding took place at the iconic Lost Mission in Spring Branch, TX, a scenic drive just outside of San Antonio. The theme was Fiesta, so it was a very colorful wedding, as you will see. There were mariachis to help celebrate after the ceremony, through the cocktail hour, and to kick off the reception. One fun addition to the wedding day was ‘Pumpkin’ - the couple’s dog.
The Lost Mission is of my favorite wedding venues in Texas, the light is always magical and it’s really just an ideal location for a Texas wedding.

While Eva & Tommy live in Chicago, they have a lot of family in San Antonio, and decided to have a traditional catholic ceremony at the historic Mission San Jose, with the reception held in the relatively new Hotel Emma at the historic Pearl Brewery in San Antonio, TX. Hotel Emma opened to much acclaim in 2015 and has quickly become one of the hottest places for weddings with a modern style in San Antonio.

Marci and I took some time to create some magical golden hour portraits at El Matador State Beach just outside of Malibu, California. The gorgeous golden sunlight was a welcome contrast to the cool breeze and frigid water.
Hair & Makeup by Marci Madla
I spent a couple of days in Palm Springs, and was able to spend an afternoon driving around looking for strong graphic images. I was particularly drawn to lines on this trip, and also experimented with the idea of man vs. nature in my last image - contrasting the towering palm trees with power lines on the opposing side of the frame.
Our beautiful light-filled studio is where you'll come for a consultation or to select images for prints and albums after a session. Hair and makeup by Marci Madla is also done in our studio.
Amy & Vicente had a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony at the University of the Incarnate Word Chapel and then they danced the night away with friends and family at the Skyroom at UIW with a beautiful panoramic view of downtown San Antonio. While in California this winter, we drove up the Pacific Coastal Highway towards Malibu and spent an afternoon at El Matador Beach. The atmosphere was quite hazy that day, but the rocky formations on the beach were everything I'd hoped for and more. There was also a huge commercial campaign being photographed for Invisalign with about a dozen models and assistants running around - such a great change of pace from home in San Antonio, TX where you don't often see legit commercial photography in action. Oh, Cali, we're going to miss you!
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentists ended a week of meetings with a lavish New Orleans themed President's Gala at the amazing Tobin Center in downtown San Antonio, TX.
Headshots of Maddie taken for a local modeling agency, photographed in-studio and outdoors on-location.
I was hired by advertising / marketing firm Moroch to photograph local McDonalds franchisees on-location at their office. For this type of scenario with multiple people to photograph, we try to make things as painless as possible. I set up a professional studio on-location with backdrop, wireless battery-powered strobes and modifiers, got the lights dialed-in with my assistant as a stand-in, and then between meetings when the owners had a moment to have their headshot made I only needed a minute or two of their time.
I spent a couple of hours one lovely afternoon with Vanessa & Matthew wandering around downtown San Antonio. We strolled along the riverwalk, stopped for tea, and ended up at the restaurant where he proposed and she said yes. Big shout out to Bohanan's for allowing us to take some special photos with this handsome couple before they opened to the public - it meant a lot to V&M!
We photographed Morgan's bridal session on the grounds at the McNay Art Museum in Alamo Heights.
